Northern, North-Central, Eastern, Uva, Sabaragamuwa, Central and Southern provinces will experience heavy rainfall today (24), the Meteorology Department warned in a heavy-rainfall advisory.
“The prevailing low-level atmospheric disturbance located to the south-east of Sri Lanka is expected to intensify into a low-pressure area during the next few hours,” the Meteorology Department forecasted.
Meanwhile, cloudy skies are expected over the island today with fairly heavy rainfall in most parts of the country.
