National Organiser of the Samagi Jana Balawegaya -Womens’ Wing and former MP Hirunika Premachandra has been arrested along with 14 others by the Cinnamon Gardens Police today afternoon.
They were taking part in a protest in the Colombo7 area when they were arrested.
The Department of National Zoological Gardens is readying enclosures to quarantine two large tortoises that were found stranded 15 kilometers westwards off Pitipana Negombo, today.
