The selected Lanka Government Cloud (LGC) Services are now experiencing interruptions, but the Information Communication Technology Agency (ICTA) has assured that there has been no data loss due to security breaches.

It's maintaining full data integrity and security of critical systems, ICTA said in a media release on Thursday, updating on the ongoing partial disruption to the LGC.

Manual alternatives for several of the affected services, such as obtaining certificate copies from Divisional Secretariats, continue to be available to mitigate inconvenience for the public. Stakeholder organisations, including the Department of Police and others, are being kept informed with real-time progress updates, the release said.

The next phase of LGC modernisation and expansion, which began in October 2025, is progressing and will deliver a Cloud Infrastructure with expanded capacity and advanced technology, assuring industry-standard service assurance and resilience, it added. Full restoration of the LGC is anticipated soon, with phased reactivation of services to ensure stability. The ICTA says it’s fully committed to restoring all services to optimal performance as swiftly as possible and thanked the public and affected institutions for their understanding and cooperation during this time.
