IGP instructs to hand over fuel at Narahenpita fuel station for vehicles of MPs
IGP Chandana Wickramaratne has instructed the Assistant Director of Police to temporarily hand over fuel at the Narahenpita petrol station in the Police Transport Division for the vehicles of the Members of Parliament.
Issuing a letter yesterday, IGP has instructed the decision has been made prior to the request by the Speaker.
The letter stated that these steps have been taken in view of the prevailing situation in the country.
However, it is said that the MP should be in the vehicle when refuelling at the petrol station.
