The board of directors of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) is due to meet today to finalise Sri Lanka’s second tranche under the US$2.9 billion Extended Fund Facility (EFF).
The amendments to VAT were rushed through parliament on Monday in anticipation of today’s likely approval of the over $300 million second tranche of the IMF loan.
