A two-day token strike organized by the State university non-academic staff members was held in front of the Ministry of Education (Isurupaya) in Battaramulla today (Feb. 29) calling for better pay and working conditions, citing pay stagnation since 2019.
The strike was staged yesterday (Feb. 28) and today was its second day.
This collective action underscores the pressing need for recognition and fair treatment, coming after years of unmet expectations and talks with the Government.
