Under the patronage of Prime Minister Dinesh Gunawardena and with the blessings of the Maha Sanga, the State Vesak festival got underway in Matale on Tuesday (22).
Participating in the event were Ambassadors, Ministers, and other government officials.
The State Vesak festival will conclude on May 27 at the Millawana Sri Sunandaramaya of Pallepola Sasanarakshaka Mandalaya.
