The Immigration and Emigration Department has decided to end the 24 hour service of issuing passports from May 30, the Department said.
From June 2 onwards one day service to issue passports will be operational from 7.00 a.m. to 2 p.m. where persons who made a date reservation previously and those applying under special circumstances could hand over their applications.
The normal service passport applications could be handed over at the head office or the regional offices also from 7.a.m to 2.00 p.m.
