Immigration officers today turned up for work with black bands around their hands as a mark of protest against the government.
Among the issues they are protesting is the outsourcing the issue of visas.
They are also protesting about the shortage of workers.
The campaign is due to end tomorrow morning.
A Sri Lanka Air Force Bell 212 helicopter belonging to the No. 72 squadron has crashed into the Madhuru Oya reservoir this morning, Air FOrce Media Spokesman Eranda Geeganage said.
