Protesters who have set up camp at Galle Face near the Presidential Secretariat celebrated the traditional Sinhala and Tamil New Year yesterday (14).
The celebration was marked at the section which the protesters have named "Gota Go Gama."

Energy Ministry differs on proposed electricity tariff reduction from today.
The Anurdhapura Magistrate Court has granted permission to further investigate allegations of obstructing the duties of the Police, levelled against Member of Parliament Dr Archuna Ramanathan and report facts to courts on February 3.
The Energy Ministry has decided to go ahead with the PUCSL recommendation of reducing the electricity tariff by an average of 20 per cent, Energy Minister Kumara Jayakody said today.
