Newly appointed Finance Minister Basil Rajapaksa took oaths today at the Finance Ministry premises. He had earlier been sworn in as the new Finance Minister as well as a Member of Parliament.

A Sri Lanka Air Force Bell 212 helicopter belonging to the No. 72 squadron has crashed into the Madhuru Oya reservoir this morning, Air FOrce Media Spokesman Eranda Geeganage said.
