The Employees’ Union of Petroleum Corporation staged a protest at the Polduwa Junction near Parliament against the Petroleum Products (Special Provisions) Amendment Bill that was debated in Parliament today (18). The bill, which is expected to pave the way for the liberalization of the petroleum industry, was passed this evening by a majority of 60 votes.
