The Federation of Health Professionals staged a protest march today to the Health Ministry premises calling on health authorities to grant several of their demands.
Heavy traffic prevailed in the area whilst the protest march was taking place.
Sixteen unions representing nurses, paramedics, public health officers and complimentary medical staff also launched a 24-hour strike in Western province today.
