"The New Wings" organisation held a protest in front of the Fort Railway Station this evening against alleged serious violations of human rights of the country's citizens. The organisation noted that harassment of journalists and civil rights activists has increased in recent times. It also accused the Government of misusing Penal Code and Prevention of Terrorism Act to curtail freedom of expression.
