People in Grandpass and Orugodawatta areas queued up at filling stations from 4.00am yesterday to purchase kerosene.
Some were even seen fainting as they were waiting with empty stomachs to purchase kerosene. Some were turned away at the filling stations after waiting in line for hours due to stocks running out. The people said they cannot even find firewood unlike in the villages.
