In Pictures: Police check students as part of drug eradication efforts
Authorities are currently engaged in an island-wide operation to eradicate drugs, particularly 'ICE' from schools following claims that such drugs are spreading among the student population.
Accordingly, police are randomly checking students at schools prior to being allowed in. These images were taken yesterday at a school in Nawalapitiya.
