Trained teachers held a protest in front of the Education Ministry today against the move by the ministry to impose a minimum age for the examination held to select suitable teachers for national schools. T
he trained teachers said the minimum age is unfair as some of the trained teachers who have worked in schools for many years will lose an opportunity as a result. They sat across the road blocking traffic as neither the Minister or the Secretary was available at the ministry today.
