Residents of Colombo and those coming to the city for studies/business or employment can obtain an antigen free of charge.
Colombo’s regional Epidemiologist Dr. Dinuka Guruge said samples will be obtained and tested at the mobile laboratory bus parked at Campbell Park, Colombo and results issued within a short time.
“Those who have flu-like symptoms or suspect they might have contracted COVID-19 can come and get an antigen test for free,” she said.
The service is offered from Monday to Saturday between 9 and 11 am and tests done by government laboratory technicians under the supervision of medical staff from the Colombo Municipal Council’s Public Health Department.
Once a person is tested positive, the Medical officer of Health of his/her area will be notified immediately.
