The Vaccination programme in the estate sector in the upcountry is in full swing with strong enthusiasm among the public to obtain the vaccine for COVID-19 as soon as possible, Health officials said.
Large crowds have been seen at vaccination centres in the Nuwara Eliya district on Monday morning.
The second dose vaccination programme for those over 30 years of age was held in Pathana Tamil Vidyalaya under Kotagala Public Health Medical Authority where large crowds turned up despite the heavy rain.
In addition, a second dose vaccination drive for Vattavalai and Kuilwattai Grama Sevakas under the Ambagamuwa Public Health Medical Authority was held today at the Tamil Maha Vidyalaya under the Hatton Zone.
