Vaccination programmes were carried out today (9) for pregnant mothers at MOH office, Piliyandala and Castle Street Hospital, Borella.
Ironically, as pictures show, these pregnant mothers had to climb one full floor to attend an instruction session before getting the jab at the MOH office, Central Clinic, Piliyandala centre.
Meanwhile wife of Prime Minister, Ms Shiranthi Rajapaksa paid a visit to the Castle Street vaccination centre this morning checking on the progress.

A Sri Lanka Air Force Bell 212 helicopter belonging to the No. 72 squadron has crashed into the Madhuru Oya reservoir this morning, Air FOrce Media Spokesman Eranda Geeganage said.
Update: Five of the twelve passengers on board the bell 212 aircraft that crashed into the Maduru Oya today, have succumbed to their injuries, the SLAF said.
