Hundreds of Ports Authority employees gathered at Colombo Fort today(06) against the proposed tax on the Employment Provident Fund and the Employment Trust Fund as well against a number of moves made by the state.
They charged that the government is amending labour laws in favour of employers and not employees. The protesters said the government is attempting to cut down interest percentages from the above funds. (Pix by Pix by Priyanka Samaraweera)
