Indian Foreign Secretary Harsh Vardhan Shringla arrived in the country a short while ago for a three-day official visit.
He arrived on an Air India flight this evening and was greeted at the Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) by Foreign Secretary Admiral (Rtd.) Jayanath Colombage.
During his stay, Mr Shringala will be meeting with senior government leaders including President Gotabaya Rajapaksa, Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa, Finance Minister Basil Rajapaksa and Foreign Minister Prof. G.L. Peiris.
The Foreign Secretary is also expected to visit Kandy, Trincomalee and Jaffna during his stay in Sri Lanka.
This his first visit to Sri Lanka since assumption of office as the Foreign Secretary of India.
