Narendra Modi, Prime Minister of India has extended his wishes to the newly elected 8th President of Sri Lanka Ranil Wickremesinghe.
He also said that India will always continue to be supportive of the stability and Economic recovery of Sri Lanka as a close friend and a neighbour.
“ You have assumed the high office at a critical time for Sri Lanka and I hope your tenure will nurture economic stabilization as well as fulfill the aspirations of all citizens of Sri Lanka,” Modi added
Indian Premier Modi also expressed hopes for a close and friendly relationship between the two nations for the mutual benefit of Sri Lankan and Indians.
His wish came after Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping wished President Wickremesinghe.
