An interim payment of USD 890,000 and Rs. 16 million has been granted to the Sri Lanka by insurers of the X-Press Pearl as compensation for the damage caused by of the sunken vessel to the fisheries industry, Minister of Justice Wijeyadasa Rajapakshe said.
