Dr. Hossein Amir Abdollahia, the Islamic Republic of Iran’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, arrived in Sri Lanka on Monday night (19), on a three-day official visit.
Accompanied by a delegation of twenty, Dr. Abdollahia was received by the State Minister of Foreign Affairs Tharaka Balasuriya.
Arriving at the request of Foreign Affairs Minister Ali Sabry, Dr. Abdollahia is expected to make courtesy calls on Prime Minister Dinesh Gunawardena and President Ranil Wickremesinghe during his visit to Sri Lanka from February 19-21.
Minister Ali Sabry and the visiting Dr. Abdollahia’s delegation will also hold formal meetings at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
