Two Grama Niladhari (GN) divisions in Wattala, two areas in Kattankudy and one GN division in Kolonnawa will be free from isolation from today (13), the National Operations Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO) announced.
Olanda village and rubberwatte coming under Hendala North GN division, Wattala, Manjanthoduwai north and Manjanthoduwai south Jinnah road in Kattankudy and Sinhapura GN division in Kolonnawa will have their isolation status lifted.
Yesterday (12), Pottuvil 13 GN division in Kalmunai, Suduhampala West GN division , Vihara Lane, Vihara road, Kappara Church road, Suduhampala East GN division , Housing Scheme Middle Road area, Polwatta road, Kovil Watte coming under Kandy police area, Karadiyanawatte village in Piliyandala and Vadamaarachchi north coming under Point Pedro police division were declared isolated by the NOCPCO following high number of COVID cases.
Meanwhile on July 12 the Director General of Health Services confirmed that 31 COVID-19 related deaths have been reported on July 11 increasing the total number of deceased to 3,533. Yesterday also recorded 1,488 coronavirus positive cases.
