Jaffna records over 2000 Covid patients in past 21 days
Highest in the Northern Province, Jaffna District has recorded 2053 Covid patients just in the past 21 days, Jaffna Public Health Inspectors (PHI) office says.
Health officials point out the main reasons for this daily increase in patients are the non adherence to health guidelines by the public and the breaking of quarantine regulations and travel restrictions.
The officials warn, with the relaxing of travel restrictions, this number can go up substantially.
