A stock of essential drugs and medical equipment worth Rs 430 million donated by the Korean government and its people was handed over to the Health Ministry today (17).
The donations were collected by Korean organisation Global Life Sharing and were handed over to the Health Ministry through the coordination of another Korean organisation, World Unreached People Mission.
The drugs and medical equipment are to be donated in several stages. Among the first batch that was handed over today are various antibiotics, painkillers and medicines used to treat bacterial infections.
Accepting the donated stock of medicines and medical equipment, Health Minister Keheliya Rambukwella thanked the Korean people, as well as World Unreached People Mission for their generocity.
