Chairman of the Kotikawatte-Mulleriyawa Pradeshiya Sabha Rangajeewa Jayasinghe died at the National Hospital, Colombo from COVID-19 complications, hospital sources said.
The fifty-five-year-old PS Chairman was treated for COVID both at the Infectious Diseases Hospital’s Intensive Care Unit and the National Hospital for many weeks.
COVID has claimed 12,857 lives in the country since the first wave, with the latest 55 deaths reported on Tuesday (28).
