The Employment Provident Fund (EPF) branch of the Labour Department’s head office in Colombo and district/sub-labour offices will not accept EPF claim applications till Friday (20), Commissioner of Labour Prabhath Chandrakeerthi said.
The Commissioner said the decision to temporarily halt the service comes after a number of employees at the head office’s payment branch were tested positive for COVID-19 and close contacts placed in quarantine.
