According to President Ranil Wickremesinghe's directives, the distribution of land deeds to 15,000 families in the Mahaweli region would start during the second week of this month, Minister of Sports and Youth Affairs and Irrigation Roshan Ranasinghe said.
Some 20,000 families in the Mahaweli region who do not currently have land deeds will shortly get them, according to Minister Ranasinghe.
He made these remarks yesterday (02), at a press conference conducted at the Presidential Media Center (PMC), with the topic "Collective Path to a Stable Country."
