Landslide warnings in three districts, evacuation required
A landslide warning issued in several areas in the Southern and Western provinces has been raised to Level three which requires evacuation of residents.
Accordingly the areas where people need to be evacuate include the Galle four gravets areas, Elpitiya, Imaduwa, Nagoda and Yakkalamulla in the Galle district, Ingiriya, Walalawita and Matugama in the Kalutara district and Pitabeddara, Akuressa and Hakmana in the Matara district.

SLAF Bell 212 crashes into Maduru Oya
A Sri Lanka Air Force Bell 212 helicopter belonging to the No. 72 squadron has crashed into the Madhuru Oya reservoir this morning, Air FOrce Media Spokesman Eranda Geeganage said.
