Andrew Ranish Hewage, a former Sri Lanka army officer who joined as a volunteer Ukrainian soldier has died in a Russian artillery attack on December 4, sources said.
International Volunteers of Ukraine said Captain Ranish succumbed on the battlefield and the organization is in the process of building a memorial for him.
Ranish known as 'Captain Dentist', was a Commanding Officer, First Special Force of the International Legion for the Defence of Ukraine.
