Last Ramadan Iftars before Eid

Muslims in Sri Lanka will end the month-long Ramadan fast depending on the sighting of the new moon that heralds the Eid ul Festival.

During the fasting period, they abstain from food and drinks and worldly pleasures from predawn to sunset, engaging in righteous deeds. These pictures captured in Colombo's Red Mosque, Devatagaha Mosque, and the Inner Bagatale Road Mosque on the 28th day of Ramadan show devotees gathering for Iftar to break their fast at sunset.
