A Lawyer and two others have been arrested by the Panadura South Police over an incident of the lawyer firing into the air after a dispute with a group of residents in the area last night, Police said.
The lawyer accompanied by two women had gone to a residence to discuss the non-payment of a loan to one of the women.
However, a dispute had risen and the residents had tried to assault the lawyer and the two women.
The lawyer using a 9mm revolver had opened fire into the air.
The three persons arrested are due to be produced in courts today.
