The Commissioner General of Excise has ordered that all liquor outlets in the country will remain closed on April 13 and 14 on account of the Sinhala and Hindu New Year.
Meanwhile, all liquor outlets will be closed on April 26 on account of Bak Full Moon Poya Day as well, the Department of Excise also said.
The Excise Department also states the public can pass on information related to crimes involving liquor drugs and tobacco on its 1913 hotline during this period. The hotline is in operation throughout 24 hours.
