With effect from tomorrow (9), opening hours of liquor shops will be revised, the Excise Department said.
In line with the revised schedule, liquor shops will open at 8 a.m. and close at 10 p.m.
Foreign liquor wine shops too will be open from 8 am to 10 pm.
Tourist board-approved hotels (Hotels with 3 stars and above) will be open from 10 am to 2 am, and all other hotels from 10 am to 12 midnight.
Customs have detected 228 mobile phones and tabs valued at over Rs 30 million left behind in the duty free shopping complex at the Banaranaike International Airport today, Customs officials said.
