The Litro gas prices have been increased with effect from midnight today due to the price increase in world market prices, Chairman of Litro Gas Muditha Peiris said.
Accordingly, the 12.5 Kg domestic gas cylinder has been increased by Rs 145. The new price. The new price will be Rs 3,127 per cylinder.
The five Kg cylinder has been increased by Rs 58 and the 2.3 Kg cylinder by Rs 26. The new prices are Rs 1,256 and Rs 587 respectively.
Mr Peiris said that in anticipation of the price increase, the company last month had increased its import stocks, thereby reducing the impact on the consumers.
