A local councilor of Chavakachcheri Pradeshiya Saba was found dead in a farming land yesterday (11) near Meesalai, Chavakachcheri, police said.
The victim is identified as 28-year-old Sivakumar Kajen from Ramavil, Meesalai.
Chavakachcheri police said investigations are underway to determine whether it’s a suicide or murder.
A Sri Lanka Air Force Bell 212 helicopter belonging to the No. 72 squadron has crashed into the Madhuru Oya reservoir this morning, Air FOrce Media Spokesman Eranda Geeganage said.
