Local government polls update: Average voter turnout exceeds 30%
Average island-wide voter turnout at the 2025 local government election has surpassed 30% as at 12.00pm, according to reports by District Returning Officers.
Polls opened at 7.00am and will close at 4.00pm.
Voting is being conducted in a peaceful atmosphere and no major incident of election violence or election law violation has been reported so far.
