Shashi Prabha Ratwatte, wife of former Minister Lohan Ratwatte, was further remanded until December 2 after being produced before the Nugegoda Magistrate’s Court today (22).
Earlier, on November 18, both Lohan Ratwatte and his wife were produced before the same court. While the former minister was remanded until December 2, Mrs. Shashi Prabha Ratwatte was initially remanded until November 22.
The couple was arrested on charges related to the illegal importation and assembly of a luxury vehicle in Sri Lanka. They had previously been remanded in custody until November 18 by the Nugegoda Magistrate’s Court.
