The government has decided to award the long term purchase order for four (4) consignments of Murban crude oil from 01 January 2026 to 30 April 2026 to M/s BB Energy Asia Pte Ltd Singapore.
These tenders were invited from registered suppliers of Ceylon Petroleum Corporation on two payment terms, Payment at release of storage tanks and payment within 30 days through a letter of credit opened by the Bank of Ceylon.
Accordingly six (6) bids were submitted. After considering the aforementioned bids, having made the recommendations in line with it, on the advice of the special Standing Procurement Committee appointed by the Cabinet, the Cabinet of Ministers issued approval to the proposal submitted by the Minister of Power and Energy to award the procurement to the above company.
