Deputy Leader of the Sri Lanka Muslim Congress & MP for the Batticaloa District Ali Zaheer Maulana met President Ranil Wickremesinghe at his political office on Flower Road, Colombo a short while ago and reaffirmed his support for the President's victory in the upcoming presidential election, President's Campaign office said.
Earlier the SLMC leader Rauf Hakeem had pledged the party support to the SJB candidate Sajith Premadasa.
Mr. Hakeem yesterday addressing the inaugural rally of Mr. Premadasa said that the SLMC was one of the first parties to decide to support the SJB candidate.
