MP Gajendrakumar raised privileges issue at the parliament
All Ceylon Tamil Congress Leader MP Gajendrakumar Ponnambalam raised a privileges issue at the parliament.
The MP was arrested at his Queen's Road residence in Colombo under the charges of obstructing police duties after he allegedly harassed police officers near an examination center in Kilinochchi on June 2.
Speaker Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena said that the matter would be referred to the privileges committee.
