Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) MP Dilip Wedaarachchi's son and daughter-in-law, who were arrested for obstructing police from performing their duties, were remanded in custody till tomorrow (8) after being produced before the Walasmulla Magistrate's Court today.
The suspects, Ravindu Wedaarachchi and Nethmi Silva, were arrested after surrendering to the Weeraketiya Police regarding an incident that occurred at the Bedigama Interchange of the Southern Expressway on June 1 where they were stopped by police while allegedly trying to transport a fridge on the expressway in an unsafe manner.
