The brother of a Kandy district MP was arrested by the Police yesterday on allegations of fraudulently collecting money by assuring jobs in Dubai.
He was arrested over a three complaints where he had collected Rs 250,000, Rs 100,000 and Rs 50,000 from residents in Galagedara and Akurana areas.
The Fraud Bureau of the Kandy Police said that the MP’s brother had got them visa’s, but during the investigations it was revealed that the visas were fake.
The suspect is due to be produced before the Magistrate .
