Former Minister of Agriculture Mahindananda Aluthgamage, who was in remand custody over his involvement over the importation of a shipment of substandard organic fertiliser from a Chinese company resulting in a loss to the state was granted bail today.
Colombo Chief Magistrate Thanuja Lakmali granted bail when he was produced in courts today.
He was released on a cash bail of Rs 50,000 with five sureties of Rs one million each.
