Former President Maithripala Sirisena has declared his intention to contest the next Presidential Election.
Mr Sirisena said he would contest the next Presidential Election from the Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP).
“I am not afraid of any conspiracies. I respect the judiciary and the law. No matter how I am harassed in the future, I will contest the next Presidential Election with the support of my party as I have utmost confidence that I will succeed in the election” he told a press conference today.
