President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih paid a courtesy call to President Gotabaya Rajapaksa today during a short private visit to Sri Lanka.
According to the Maldivian President's Office, President and First Lady will return to the Maldives on Friday.
The first trip the President and the First Lady took overseas after President took office on November 17, 2018, was to Sri Lanka. Since then the couple has gone to Sri Lanka twice on private trips.
A Sri Lanka Air Force Bell 212 helicopter belonging to the No. 72 squadron has crashed into the Madhuru Oya reservoir this morning, Air FOrce Media Spokesman Eranda Geeganage said.
