A suspect was arrested for forgery of fake revenue licenses and driving licenses in Narahenpita, the Special Task Force (STF) said today (April 4).
The STF officers of the Intelligence Division, acting upon information received, had conducted a raid on a house in Narahenpita yesterday.
Subsequently, a 37 year old resident of Colombo 5 was arrested while in possession of fake driving licenses and revenue licenses. He had also operated a press where the equipment was used to produce forge documents.
The seized items include two fake driving licenses, 18 driving licenses of individuals, seven ATM cards, three fake revenue licenses, a monitor, CPU, keyboard and other cards of various sorts.
The suspect has been handed over to the Narahenpita Police for further investigation.
